ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), where you’ll be met and welcomed by your Mbogo Expeditions representative. Transfer to your hotel in Arusha for check-in and a relaxed evening. Accommodation: Arusha
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, famous for its enormous elephant herds and baobab-studded landscape. Full day of game drives spotting elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, and rich birdlife along the Tarangire River. Accommodation: Karatu
Day 3: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Travel to Ngorongoro and descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing — home to the “Big Five,” including resident black rhinos, plus lions, hippos, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. Accommodation: Ngorongoro
Day 4: Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge
Depart Ngorongoro, stopping at Olduvai Gorge — the “Cradle of Mankind” — to visit the site museum before continuing to the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive across its endless plains. Accommodation: Serengeti
Day 5: Serengeti Morning Game Drive – Departure to Karatu
Early morning game drive in the Serengeti, then check out and drive to Karatu, a scenic farming town on the edge of the Ngorongoro Highlands, for overnight. Accommodation: Karatu
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha
Morning game drive at Lake Manyara, known for its groundwater forest, tree-climbing lions, and flamingo-lined lake. Afternoon drive back to Arusha for departure or overnight stay. Accommodation: Arusha
