In 2006, a bold vision took root in the heart of Arusha, Tanzania a vision shaped by a deep love for the land, its wildlife and its people.Mbogo Expeditions was founded by the late Mr. Godwin Mbogo, whose passion for showcasing the true spirit of Tanzania became the foundation of everything we do today.What began as a small, locally owned venture has grown into a safari and travel company dedicated to creating meaningful experiences across Tanzania. Yet, while the journey has evolved, the heart of the company remains unchanged.

Following Mr. Mbogo’s passing, his wife, Mrs. Magreth Mbogo, took over the company in 2011, carrying forward his vision with the same dedication, care and commitment that defined its beginnings. Under her leadership, Mbogo Expeditions continues to be proudly locally owned and operated by people who call Arusha home.From our home in Arusha, we are surrounded by some of Tanzania’s most extraordinary destinations including the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Mount Kilimanjaro. Our local knowledge and connection to the destination allow us to create journeys that go beyond simply visiting Tanzania. We aim to help travellers experience its wildlife, landscapes, culture and genuine hospitality in a meaningful way.Every itinerary we create reflects the values established by our founder: authenticity, care, respect for nature and a passion for Tanzania.Though Mr. Mbogo is no longer with us, his legacy continues through every safari we plan and every traveller we welcome.
