Saanane Island National Park
Tanzania’s smallest national park and its only one located within a city — a small rocky island in Lake Victoria, just a short boat ride from Mwanza. Originally established in 1964 as Tanzania’s first zoo, it became a game reserve in 1991 and a full national park in 2013.
